If you like a Terry’s chocolate orange this is the breakfast for you! And with all the protein and fibre goodness this dish will keep you going all morning.

Triple Protein Porridge with chocolate orange tahini cream

Serves 2

50g pinhead oats
30g quinoa
1 heaping Tbls chia seeds
1/2 tsp raw cacao
Orange zest to taste

Chocolate orange tahini cream
85g tahini
Zest of one orange
Juice of 1/2 orange
1 Tbls lemon juice
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 Tbls maple syrup
1/2 tsp raw cacao
Water to thin

THK Chocolate Orange protein cookie
Raw cacao nibs
Hemp seeds
Sprouted buckwheat

To cook porridge: combine pinhead oats and quinoa in a pan with water to cover. Cook for 20 minutes stirring often and continuing to top up with extra water. A couple minutes before the end add in chia seeds. Remove from heat and add cacao and orange zest. At this point you can add in a splash of coconut or almond milk if you like.

For the tahini cream, mix all ingredients together in a bowl and using a fork add water one tablespoon at a time, stirring, until it reaches the desired consistency.

Top with the delicious seasonal THK chocolate orange protein cookie and other crunchy bits. Delicious!
