These flavours are reminiscent of my favourite candy bar growing up. Mmmmm!
Chocolate Almond Joy smoothie bowl
1/2 frozen sliced banana
1/2c frozen cauliflower florets
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
1/4c coconut yogurt
1 heaping Tbls almond butter
1 tsp maca
1/3c coconut milk
handful of spinach, optional
Toppings: 1 THK Dark Chocolate and Coconut Original Protein Cookie, chopped almonds, desiccated coconut, and raw cacao nibs.
Combine all smoothie ingredients in a high-speed blender or Nutri bullet. Don’t be scared of the frozen cauliflower… it creates a brilliant thick frozen texture and tastes of nothing. It’s low carb and low sugar making it a great smoothie ingredient. The spinach is listed as optional because it will make the smoothie a funny colour – you decide if you mind or don’t mind! Pour into a bowl and top with THK protein cookie, almonds, coconut and cacao nibs. This smoothie bowl has it all going on: protein, good fats, fibre, and flavour.
